1968. The car of a filmstar: Peter Ustinov and his Quattroporte. His favourite car ever.  According to Ustinov himself, X74 is from 1968. Norbert Duvoisin, former director of Scuderia Filipinetti and motor journalist, was present when the car was delivered by Bertocchi himself to Ustinov’s home in Bursins, canton Vaud, Switzerland, at the time of the Geneva Show in March 1969 (Duvoisin was not sure whether it was 1969 or 1970, but it must have been 1969, as the car is of 1968 vintage and there were no new Quattroportes in 1970.) Duvoison claims that Bertocchi didn’t know that Ustinov was a celebrity, but according to Ustinov, Bertocchi personally delivered also his first Quattroporte (X397) in 1966 (to Paris). He and his car were also featured in a Swiss magazine (Schweizer Illustrierte, Auto Special). 2000 series. Ustinov had at least one other Quattroporte, X 397, and might have had up to five Quattroporte altogether, of which one or two might have been Quattroporte III or Biturbos.
